Are you trying to become debt free? Have you been at if for some time?
Don’t lose hope. Do not give up. Getting into debt took a long time, and getting out won’t happen overnight. I’ve been at this 6 years now. I’m not there yet, but I’ve made great progress. You can do it. Just keep working at it.
It took Howard Dayton of Crown.org 10 years to become debt free. Becoming debt free is a long term goal for most of us. One that will be so worth it.
It can be difficult to not get frustrated at times. I built up debt from schooling from 04 until I graduated in 08. I honestly cant see myself paying it off before the end of ‘12. And even then, thats an optimistic estimate.
Realistically I’m aiming for 2014.
I still have my days when I feel like I will never get debt free. If you can pay your student loans off in two more years, that is pretty good… Most people keep student loan debt around so long they think it’s a pet. (Dave Ramsey says that a lot, cracks me up).
